Inevitable Reckoning explores the intersection of sculpture and climate science through works that translate environmental and scientific concepts into direct, physical experiences. Drawing on Jungian archetypes, hidden geologic processes unfolding over vast timescales, and ecological impacts felt in distant corners of daily life, each piece reveals slow, inevitable change through materials like limestone, ice, and earth. My aim was to communicate complex phenomena simply, quickly, and beautifully—inviting viewers to witness acidification, erosion, and structural collapse as they occurred in real time. The work bridges the abstract and the tangible, encouraging reflection on scale, intimacy, and the urgent reality of environmental degradation.
