This project was a cross-border collaboration that brought together Urbanspace Realty Group, Page Architecture, and renowned Mexican artist Manuel Lozano to realize a public artwork in the heart of Austin’s vibrant Rainey Street district. The piece consists of two large-scale cast bronze panels installed on the streetscape, separated by a central structural column. Though divided, the panels are in conversation—two distinct forms representing two parties, two countries, perhaps even adversaries, friends, or lovers. Coordinating fabrication and installation across national lines demanded precise communication and mutual trust, resulting in a work that not only anchors the space physically but also speaks to the possibilities of international collaboration and creative tension.
